Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Joanne Kim spent years traversing the globe before finding her home in the stunning Algarve region fifteen years ago.
Following her graduation from Inha University's Art Education program in Korea, she continued her studies in Visual Arts at master's level at Guildhall University in London, before teaching art in Hong Kong.
Her creative process utilizes oil, acrylic, and wood to articulate intimate memories and historical reflections.
Through her work, she seeks to capture the essence of nostalgia, merging the inherent energy of physical objects with her own past to create a profound resonance with her audience.
